Hopefully people will think beyond pretty girls for this one and come up with some other glamorous things too .
Not much glamour in my life right now so I shall be interested to see what people come up with.

I'm thinking of putting something in to show the flip-side of "glamorous" work places (so we are told...), although I doubt half-eaten lunches and bored technicians is quite what the judge had in mind!

Still shooting in the dark (literally and metaphorically)...

Alas, my only thought beyond pretty girls, was pretty locations, but it's my first stab at a compo (or even uploading anything to PU), so I'm happy just to get this far.
However, I noticed a slight problem - the EXIF data is missing. I had to manually input a bunch of it by hand into the Gallery tool, but of course, the "date taken" field is locked (presumably to prevent spoofing), so it shows up as blank.
Why would this be? I created the JPEG image from Photoshop CS4 Extended, via 'Save for Web & Devices' and told it to export all the metadata - all of which is visible if I load the resulting JPEG back into Photoshop and view the 'File Info'.
Did I do something wrong, and/or should I delete/reupload the image?
The date taken was actually 19/07/2010 13:20:42, if that helps!
And I will come clean right off the bat and say that I've Photoshopped out the girl's mother from the bottom right, and some random bloke who was also in the shot to her left, facing backwards, and a waiter.
I did study the rules to see whether anything Photoshoppy was allowed, and found nowt to say it wasn't... so I hope that's ok. I've not gone mad (and I am quite happy to provide folks with the originals and a walkthru tutorial to compare notes by, if wanted later).
Fun this, innit? First time I've ever done anything 'competitive' with my photos, and it's inspiring me to try a lot harder!

Don't worry about the EXIF data and date, it's not a prerequisiste for entering.
The critical rule is that the entries are taken using Pentax kit, or Samsung DSLRs that are based on the Pentax kit. Don't be tempted to delete because you'll find you can't upload a second time.
Good luck with your entry!

Don't forget to be sensitive to the audience PU is pitched at, and use of the correct categories will help ensure that filters will work for people.
