A lot of green(and some not so green) entries to judge already.
Could end in a huge amount ending Sunday.

Good luck judging this round.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

Beaky needs a clear head on this one. No clear winner that I can see and so much green.

Well Mike,I for once never thought a beach hut could look so yummy. All it needs is some whipped cream Great picture though

I got muddled as I changed my mind half way through the process. I'll see if I can fix it up!

Phew done it. Now that makes your comment look a bit strange - I'm hoping you can live with it

The relevant beach hut is on the flickr site. Massive indecision - family said huts, heart said strawberry. Very democratic in our family, everyone gets a vote and I get to ignore it!

Well...beach hut or strawberry, it doesn't matter. Your entrie: a strawberry named "beach hut" which you now corrected is more than capable of ending high this round. At least in my book. A little more than one hour to go, and Beaky can start with his massive and tough job.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

Tough job it is in my opinion. No stand out entry and lots of very good ones. Serves him right for such an open topic! How on earth he'll manage to reach a rational decision I don't know.

Who says I have to be rational)

Open topics have been done before, I am pleased to have solicited such a wealth of entries.

Well you certainly got a wide range of entries and your judging was indeed rational but choosing the winner would have given me a headache.

I think it did! It is very hard to judge, in part you feel that you 'know' people here and you have seen some of their great work, then you have to judge it and you find you don't like their photo - what do you say?!

Picking the winner was the easy bit, choosing from the rest was much harder for me! I did learn a lot from looking critically at others photos, I can really recomend a stint at this for helping a person to look at their own photography more critically!

Part of the reason why it's such a good exercise every week. You did just great, and I'm glad you found it helpful as well.
Best regards, John
