Hi,
Just found a new feature of Windows 7 and thought I`d share it.

If you dont have a monitor colour calibration device then you may still be able to improve the colour settings on your monitor.

Type "dccw" in the search programs and files box, and then double click dccw.exe.

Pretty basic but better than nothing !

And on the same topic, having installed Windows 7 yesterday, any potential monitor calibrators out there may be interested to hear that the Pantone Huey Pro software (v1.5) also works.

I think most people on here use Argyll (free) with the Huey, much better. Search the forum for more details.

I was not suggesting it could replace a hardware device, just that its an interesting new feature of windows that I dont believe was in previous versions.

Sorry I should have quoted the post prior to mine regarding the Huey Software which is not as professional as Argyll. I wasn't commenting on the Win7 app. which I'm sure is quite good.

I've not looked at the one in Win7, but my two Samsung monitors came with software which does a very good job at setting them up. On one system I'll have to run Huey again because it's not as good as it was when I set it up with the Samsung software. If it's no better the 2nd time I'll stick with the Samsung setup.
