An interesting study in the use of depth of field. The background on your image contains strong lines, and they distract attention away from the subject a little.
Right now though I'm a bit jealous of the cool as depicted in your shot, as it was already 30 degrees C here at 9 am this morning. With a hot northerly blowing, it will keep climbing too.

Nice shallow depth of field and good, cool colours.
I too have a picture which won't upload to the Gallery while with other there's no problem.
I have some sympathy with i-Berg (but only fleetingly until I go outside). We had a holiday in Corfu one year when the temperature was in the low forties: hopless for doing anything outside!

Thanks all.
I saw the shots sitting having breakfast in my kitchen on a work day so couldn't really take it straight away - very poor light at the time of the morning and in a rush to get away. So I had to wait until the weekend and prayed that the ice won't melt by that time. Used my newly acquired Lester A Dine, 105 mm macro, which seems to be an awesome lens.
Regards.
