Coastguard 1 Helicopter

I was Lucky enough to be crossing the Solant when Coastguard 1 carried out an exercise of the back of our ferry. Even more lucky, my camera was on my back!

What do you think? I have just cropped, straightened out the horizon (less than 1degree off!), applied curves and cloned out an annoying ship on the horizon below the helicopter.

A lovely picture, beakynet. Just the right amount of movement on the rotor blades.
The horizon looks level enough for me. The chopper could have been a bit higher in the sky, so you could crop of a bit of the rather boring sea. But considering the time spam you were in I think you did a great job. Well done.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

Cracking shot, I think the cropping is very good - just enough space for the chopper "to move into" I reckon.

Thanks, I took several pictures as it was hovering, the first when I reviewed sent me straight fo the shutterspeed dial! Others were higher up but I though the gap between the sea and the copter was right in this one.

I cropped this on on the third for the sea, it was origionally across the middle.

These were some of the others I took:

Number two is exactly what I meant. The difference is subtle but, now there is just a bit more balance.
Great capture.

Martin.
