Great idea and really well executed John.

it's a great advert for the capability of the camera too.

Wonderful idea that has been well presented - so what if one stretched it a bit!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Excellent shots John and good links, they all work superbly well in mono and I like the high-ish contrast

Well these certainly cut the MUSTARD.
Very nice and I also like the contrast.
Since it is mono then surely it was Mrs White?

Stunning is the word, brilliantly executed.

Now John, having sent more than one lens to my home, I am surprised you did not comment on my address.......

The idea is great and so are the images. I am liking the way you have not been tempted to make them too light. Dark is perfect,
Best regards, John

What he said. I noticed the darkness but it certainly works here, so sharp too.

Thanks for all the comments - I've always shot with the GR series at -0.3 or -0.7 exposure compensation to ensure I don't lose highlight detail, and the dark feeling in these interior shots reflect how it looked/felt to my eyes.

@lesjacksons, looks like you're still auditioning for the comedy club - don't give up the day job

@pschlute - I thought you were more observant Peter, I took these at your house while you were out with your camera

I can't take too much credit - the Ricoh GRIII is a truly superb little camera, I spend time composing the scenes but rely very much on the depth created by the wide lens and then make a few tweaks in PP. I'm not as keen on the shooting experience as I am with a DSLR, but for speed, weight and size plus a high keeper rate of good quality images it's a great addition.

So so impressed with the room pics.

I rarely ever see such delicate tones in mono photography. This set delivers and so much more.

I agree with all that has been said, a cracking set and a well thought out topic.

Definitely. Lovely work, John.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories
