I signed up about 2 weeks ago and it's all working fine now.
Did I want to? No
Did I want photoshop? Yes, now that my needs are changing I wanted the industry standard. Although PSE12 is pretty amazing.
Would/could I have spent £500+ for the package? No
For me £8 per month means that it will be over two years before I'm out of pocket and it will have been updated twice by then.
Of course it might not be £8 then.........

Why they have called it 'Cloud' is a mystery to me, the software is downloaded on to your computer so the cloud being down doesnt stop you doing anything.

This article is a pretty reasonable explanation of what happened with Adobe's CC the other day, and why moving everything to the cloud is still a really Bad Idea.
