Tubes, work.
Cheap tubes from ebay.

Was done using a Sigma 105mm and Vivtar 36mm tube from ebay.
The 105mm does 1:1 and I don't know what it did with the tube.
Anyway, I was in M:manual mode using the green button for stop down exposure , manual focus.
Yes bellows are like an infinitely adjustable tube.
There's a thread for a flash light extender too somewhere.
More expensive tubes have electrical contacts which allow automatic exposure.

Use an extension tube, or several. They are usually sold in sets of 3.
Do your research carefully though. Not all tubes have the elctrical contacts and of those that do, many don't have the full compliment and a minot modification (paint scraping) might be necessary. Even fewer tubes on offer have the pass-through AF screw drive (not a problem for macro work).
If you want a macro focussing rail and variable extension, a bellows is the answer but you will not find one that has the electrical contacts.

Richard, you can also try reverse stacking of lenses for some super close shots.

To get 2:1 you would need 100mm of tubes with a 100mm 1:1 lens I think, so you would need two sets.
Another alternative is a 2xconverter.
Bellows will get you closer. Mine go to about 150mm. That actually gives me about 3:1 with a standard 50mm lens. They can be had quite cheaply on ebay.
Pentax also made a helical extension tube - which is a sort of mini bellows.
Reversing one lens on another is possible but fiddly - to get 1:2 you need to reverse a lens of half the focal lenth on the front - so a 50mm on a 100mm lens would do it. But if you have a 50mm all you need is a thread adaptor to link the two together.
Another possibility is simply reversing a wide angle lens on to the camera body. That seems to give about 1:2 with a 28mmm lens. For that you needa K mount ro 49mm thread adapter
A further possibliy is a close up lens on the front

i think £35 is a bit steep too.

Nope not 28mm, that would give you almost 4:1, you need 50mm stacked on top of a 100mm to get 2:1

2:1 would do me for now.
Whats the difference between Bellows and extension tubes? Are bellows just like adjustable extension tubes?
