Close-ups in the snow

To finish off, in some areas the wind had blown the snow into crazy shapes, while some close-ups need only a little imagination to see similarities with sand dunes - or was it just my wishful thinking?

Another lovely and striking snow set. Well spotted, well executed.

Snow and sand dunes - much the same sort of thing if the snow is powdery, just different materials. Not wishful thinking at all.

Very nice, the first few could indeed pass for White Sands, New Mexico, shots.

Worth getting cold for.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Convert them to black and white and they could be Edward Weston images - nice selection again

Thanks for your comments, all - "fascinating" is just the word I would use, too - makes one wonder how they all form!
