I really like the last one Philip! Being honest, the other three don't particularly catch my eye, but the fourth one has an interesting composition and is the best of the four IMO.

Very nice set, like the second image overall. A beautiful clock and tower it is also.

A very nice set. Really like the sky in #4, I have an image I could use it in if there had been a little more of it.

Thank you for your positive comments Stan. Sorry about the dearth of sky in #4! - is this one any use? -

Just seen these Philip, and my favourite is the closer view in No2, I really love the gold in that one. That last one of the wall is good too -there's a good balance between shadow and highlight tone, nicely controlled.

I too like the composition in the 4th, (as David originally pointed out), but the underexposure in the shadows is too much I feel - the DR seems too high.

I like the flare out vibe of number four with the sky and constrasty tree shadows, but the other four ( including orangery wall ) don't really evoke anything for me.

I could write a long essay in Nigel'esque detail ( ) as to why, but I think if you turn up your Quality Control knob up somewhat Mr.B you'll see why yourself

Nigel, Smeggy and Stuey - thank you for viewing and for your helpful comments. I was also really pleased with #4, but the dynamic range is probably too high for one shot.
