While it is sensible to checkout any company you send money to, provided that payment is made through Amazon, not directly to the company, I would expect that if there were problems you would get your money back.

With Amazon marketplace, you are largely on your own, since Amazon just acts as payment conduit.
If you end up being sent something that bears no resemblance to what you think you ordered or if nothing turns up, then you have to do all the legwork rather than Amazon.
