If you want real 'end of the world' gloom then 'Scent of Death' by Solitude Aeturnus, 'I Want to Die' by Mortal Love or just about anything by 'My Dying Bride' would do (as long as you like metal....)

Just got Abney Park for my wife as Christmas present. Perhaps she will now stop playing all the tasters on their website and let me on here more often

Which album did you buy her Dave?
Having asked that I don't think it matters as all their Steampunk stuff is good, their older Goth style can be a matter of taste but from those I can thoroughly recommend The Death of Tragedy.
Will she be coming to Whitby in Steampunk attire this April

We will be at Whitby. The album is End of days. She usualy does subtle steam punk with jewellery, pendants etc.

South Bank and other areas in what should be a quiet London on the 27th, somewhere near Uttoxeter & Oxford on the 28th and I've no idea for the rest. Might go over to the local Nature Reserve on the 25th if there is a hint of decent light.

That song, along with others on a Greenpeace album continuously played all the way to Aberdeen from Bradford ..in a Citroen 2CV with young daughter, wife and huge lurcher dog - we were in heaven!
