Christening with the Q

I was at Granddaughter Georgia's christening today and shot over 60 images using the Q. I was pleased with the results as it was unobtrusive, responsive enough and managed most situations very well. I have no doubt the K-5 would have been quicker and easier to use, but it isn't always apprpriate to take a DSLR.

Certainly looks sharp enough John, I think the only detracting part is the extra light that fell on Georgias head loosing the detail on her face, shame.

That's interesting Don, on my monitor I can see detail throughout her face. Perhaps someone else could comment - what do you see?

I'm viewing on a laptop screen but it looks okay to me. Of course it is an acute angle on the baby's face so not the best for picking out facial details but I don't see what looks to be any burnt out highlights, if that's what I'm looking for?

I wish you hadn't shown it, I'm thinking of getting one.

On my monitor, even enlarged to 400%, there is still colour on the child's face, so no sign of burn out for me.

Fine on my 22 inch LG connected by DVI to my PC. I'm impressed. What ISO please John?

Defintiely a time for less obtrusive photography although my Canon owning Pro friend is amazed how quiet the K5 is compared to his large and noisy 5D MKII
