Off to bed now as early start in the AM.
It seems gwyn that yiou are quite a long way from where we will be. To far to say hello in person. Hope you enjoy your Queens Day. I've found a bright orange tee shirt in my wardrobe so I'll wear it on Monday during the day if the weather is good or at dinner in the eavening in the hotel in Den Haag.
GOOD NIGHT Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

Just got back home. Got more Chicks on Sticks.
Watch this space for forthcoming photos.
Gwyn. We spent Saturday in Aachen in Germany. Sunday at the Floriade. Monday at the Kukenhauf Garden Flower show, and then on to Den Haag for the night in the Park Hotel next door to the queens residence. She was home as the royal standard was flying. I got the photo to prove it.
My knees and ankles are just about worn out. I need to rest them for about the next 10yrs. 'til the next one.
CHEERS Vic.

MY CHICKS ON STICKS.
Well here I go with my go at the same theme.
My weather was quite good, (no rain but some cloud). Sigma 10-20 lens heavily cropped and a little P.S. to brighten and sharpen.
CHEERS Vic.

Super photographs Vic. I'm pleased you got some decent weather. If the girls had tried that when I was there they would have been flying for real By the way did you take a telephoto (up to 300mm) ?

Hi Stan.
No I took my 18-55 WR, My Sigmas 10-20, 24-60 & A 2x converter. I took my monopod & flash but didn't use them.
As you can see the first photo is cropped letterbox from the 10mm end of the 10-20. For the others I got up really close with the 10mm & just cleaned up the surround with a square crop.
As you can see the ground was quite damp when we arrived but the sun came out later but the chicks didn't, or at least not when we were in that area,
Overall we were very lucky with the weather.
Sat. Aachen Germany 18/19 degrees.
Sun. Floriade 20/25 degrees.
Mon. Keukenhauf up to 29 degrees. & pleasant evening in The Hague.
Tue. The Hague Started wet but when we left at 11.00am the sun came out and shone all the way to the M11 where it threw it down.
The Floriade was good but we both thought Keukenhauf was better.
We did an awful lot of walking in 3 days so today we allowed our 73yr old bodies to chill out & relax.
In my head I'm 23/26 yrs old but my body says SOD OFF NO YOUR NOT.
Gwyn. I wore my orange Tee shirt at Keukenhauf. There was a travelling fair at Den Haag & some of the streets around the hotel were closed for street parties. The back of the Park Hotel is just across the garden from the queens "house" so we were neighbors for one night.

Picture is begging for some rework. Maybe some extreme stuff. The clothing of the chicks on the sticks would agree with that. Like this it is just like the weather, a bit grey.
