Fine for Microsoft Products but for Adobe you need PROOF of your student status.

I agree and can back that statement up. I do qualify as an educator for Adobe's educational discount. Before the order could be fulfilled, proof of educational employment, a verification letter and a copy of the school's charter letter had to be submitted to Adobe. I am sure that a similar requirement would be demanded for anyone in the UK.Fine for Microsoft Products but for Adobe you need PROOF of your student status.

It does say that you don't need the proof for Microsoft products but you still have to fill in a student name and their place of study when you try to register.

I do some teaching and benefit occasionally, with microsoft you have to use a college email address ie one that ends '.ac.uk'. Other companies send the CD to the college by post. IIRC there isn't much of a discount from adobe but Microsoft was more than 90%.
