Charging an Optio WPi

I have an optio WPi and will be travelling with it. I'm going to be away from power sources and didn't want to have to buy lots of D-L18 batteries to keep it in power. I've seen a solar charger which would do the job if I can find a way of hooking it up to the DC input. The charger company has numerous connectors but not one specifically for a pentax.

1) Can anyone tell me the name or any details about the DC input on the WPi as the manual is pretty vague?

2) Does anyone know of a 12v (cigarette lighter) type connector that could connect to the supplied battery charger or a mobile phone connector that would fit the camera?

3) Has anyone had a similar experience in charging their camera?

Any help would be great. Thanks

how about getting either a 3rd party charger with in car adaptor like this one

you would need the Pentax adaptor plate to go with it

or alternatively you could get a small inverter to run your mains voltage charger off the car socket like this one

rather more expensive, but also more versitile.
