I like the first two in particular Andrew, the light is fantastic. I think you could bring even more out of these with a bit of shadow detail recovery, but I do like them as they are with the trees and branches silhouetted starkly. Number 2 is my favourite.

The second is the one for me, due to the extra foreground interest and the way the light catches that bit sticking up just left of centre.
Was something wrong with the colours that made you convert to B & W - as it is its all a bit 'Blair Witch' for me!

The colours were fine Nigel, I just wanted to go the opposite end from the green Centre Parcs image.

I'd love to see the 2nd shot in colour - its true that B & W generally doesn't do much for me, and in this case I imagine the sunrays and dappled light on undergrowth would be beautiful.
Also, you've pitched it quite low-key, so there's a predominance of shadows, and whilst we can see some gradations of tone in these areas, I feel in colour it might reveal more detail and variation of tones that would add something more special.

I love these colours! The 2nd is still much better IMO. The tones are quite muted, but you can now see much more variation and subtlety - look at those reds coming through I'm sure it could be improved further and strengthened with some fine contrast work. Trash the mono versions

Not what I was expecting from the title. I like the first shot best and in stark mono.
