Keep checking the Classified Ad section of the forum - there have been at least two mint DA* 300mm lenses in the past three or four months.
Best regards, John

I agree Dave - it would be nice if they gave those who already have a Pentax camera, and are happy with it, a treat and offered us the lenses with money back for a change.

It would be nice. But I fear it's extremely unlikely.
I'd speculate that they'll reckon those that are going to buy an expensive new lens, once they aleady have the camera, are probably going to do it anyway, so there's no need to entice them with 10% off.
I hope I'm wrong, although I'm now unlikely to be buying any lenses for quite a while.

I guess the thing is, stay positive. So far the result of the Pentax Ricoh merger seems to have been new and aggressive pricing on the K-5 & Q. It's a step in the right direction, and at a time when other manufacturers are having supply chain issues, it's hopefully a chance for Pentax to gain a bit of market share.
Ricoh didn't buy Pentax just for fun, and I think this indicates that they're serious about getting Pentax out there. Give them a chance, and I'm sure more lenses will appear, and hopefully price reductions on the existing ones.

No, a take over is not for fun. Its to remove some of the competition, and gain a greater control of the relevant market.I guess the thing is, stay positive. Not necessarily talking about Pentax/Ricoh, this is in general what drives takeovers.
Sorry, a bit off topic.
Take care.

I don't want a new camera at the moment I would rather invest in good glass.
