You've got your eye well in there Gareth. Some of those made me smile.
Best regards, John

Excellent set Gareth - the first and last are superb, the processing is spot on, the lighting excellent and the compositions perfect

Thanks all! It's certainly a genre I'd like to develop further, it can be a bit scary! Got told off for not asking first with the hat seller. My bad, learned sometimes asking first gets better results in terms of feeling less worried about taken someone's picture but then you can loosen that natural street feel!

Keep going Gareth. If there's a trophy out there for sheer determination and effort, you have, by example proved worthy of it. Your displaying some raw images in the sense of a keenness, exposing the want to impress and satisfy the viewer.
I could suggest that you have even inspired the viewer to go and push themselves to widen the lines of what is normal.
I for one am impressed with your work lately and admire your hunger and determination to try different avenues.
Good on you Gareth.
Best regards

Nice work there Gareth, some nifty compositions, and I think you've done a pretty good job with colour too.

Thanks both
Appreciate the very kind words Gary. They say in uni about finding your genre and mastering it but I kinda want to try all genres and try my best to master them to the best of my ability

Good photos Gareth. Street photography is tricky, there are so many photos out there and I always ask myself what is it about the photo that makes it worth recording? I guess 99% are just pointless; there needs to be an interesting conjunction, chance events or a great portrait to make some sort of point.
As to finding your genre, I am sure that is right if you want to make a career or have a special interest but there are commercial phographers who will do something completely different in their own time. One of the most interesting outcomes of the Rankin programme was how participants from one genre really shone when challenged to do something completely different, e.g. the landscape photographer who produced great shots of a band, and the wildlife photographer who created outstanding portraits. By all means concentrate on finding your niche but be alive to other opportunities as well.
