I currently have two powerful Metz flash guns but would like to add a 3rd flash to my collection, the flash needs to be small and I have no requirement for a tilt/pan head. Auto zoom would be a bonus and the guide number must be better than the 11 of the built in flash on my K7.

It will also need to have a manual seting so that I can select lower power for manual off camera flash using wireless triggers.

Not sure how much you want to spend on a 3rd flashgun, but have you looked at the following?

METZ 44 AF-1 Digital good size and I think would tick your box's

Lots of manual flashguns but one of the better ones is made by Lumopro although may be a little large? Anyway you get a lot of bang for your buck. take a look at http://www.lumopro.com/

you can buy the lumopro here http://www.cameratools.com/winkel/product/?docid=118&artdetail=LUMLP160&webgroup...

But i don't think that's the flash you're looking for though.

It must be one of the lower Metz or Pentax flashes, those are small and do what you want, just give more flash power.

The flash which probably best fits those requirements is the Pentax AF200T

TTL mode won't work, but you'll get Program Flash if you set the flash to one of the two auto modes and the camera to P. This flash also has variable power in manual mode and takes up very little space.

Bonus: It'll work fully with all the other bodies in your sig!

+1 for the 200T, excellent little flash. The variable power is particularly useful as the head is fixed.

The AF200t looks good, and I have found one for under 30.

My search also turned up the Metz 24AF1, but is seems to be only pTTL with no manual controls. Also the Metz 20 c2 auto/manual flash. Does anyone have any experiance with these two flashes on a K10/20/7 or 5?

Keep looking, I'm pretty sure mine was closer to 10 (minty and cased)!

Depends on how fast you want it really, but if you're prepared to wait and watch for a while you can usually find things cheaper.
