Camera used for demo with projector

I would like to be able to use a camera to demonstarte camera functions to an audience, via a digital projector. This would mean the view of the projected image being the same as the view through the viewfinder of the camera, so presumably an EVF would be the better option.

Does anyone have experience of doing this? is it possible?

Several ways really. Easiest is tv out cable from camera to video in on projector.
Best way is to combine video clips, shot with camcorder, with video captures done through the camcorder (video out from camera to video in on camcorder) All transfered to computer with firewire and edited into a power point/keynote presentation along with your photos and music, titles and scene wipes.

I slapped something together for you to check out. it's on my website in the movie gallery, under JR. Directly through the viewfinder would require an evf but the auto playback on the istd's will show what you just snapped along with any othe data you can see on your camera's lcd.

Well I supose I could've checked my sound levels, fired up my halogen lights and maybe done something with my hair, but that would take too long and make too much sense....I only make cents when people pay me to.
