Camera part, what's the name?

Hello folks. Ok i have something up my sleeve, just wanted to know this, What is the name of the part of the camera that hold sthe brand name, as in Pentax,etc I am going to make a samtax logo and put on my camera!Just a joke between me and a few friends!Regards

Err BADGE springs to mind

But I suppose you mean the pentaprism housing on the top of the big box thingy.

I thought it was the bit over the lens.

Or the flash housing front.

Or the rear screen surround.

Or...

In the old days I would have said prism housing but now it's technically the front of the flash housing.........or like somebody else said, badge.......

On a DSLR it still houses the prism (if it has one)but were talking Pentax here so of course it does, the flash just happens to sit nicely around it.

Actually, on the K20D it is part number A150 for Pentax product number 77010. Had to look it up on the K20D exploded illustration (fig 1 of 4)
