CAMERA LENS STUCK IN CAMERA

HI PENTAX USERS , QUICK QUESTION , I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT A COUPLE OF PRIME LENS ON EBAY , ONE WAS A '' PKA'' MOUNT AND I PUT IT IN A K5 CAMERA , NOW IT IS STUCK IN MY CAMERA , DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW I CAN GET IT OUT ?????

Read the article but the crux of it says;
Even if you do get one stuck, don't reach immediately for the hacksaw. Put the body in AF mode to help pop out the pin. Then use a small metal shim (or a feeler gauge, or even a metal tape measure) and slip this between the body and lens near the pin. With some patience you should be able to pop up the pin. Cutting your lens to pieces is dramatic but not really necessary.

I have has this happen a few times - don't panic - you will be able to get it off - the above is correct but if like me you do not have a set of feeler gauges - I used a razor blade - always worked

On, for example, a Vivitar 28-200mm 'macro focusing zoom' lens, moving the aperture ring off of A will cause the retraction of one tiny and pesky pin which otherwise caused the lens to jam on my K5......

It really is terrifying when this happens. You never get caught out with a "Richo Pin" again!
I used a pair of scissors to cut a beer can open and to cut out a very thin shim - which did the job a treat. You shove it in just next to the auto-focus lever as this is the hole into which the errant pin has dropped.

When I was trying out a variety of 42mm to PK adapters I found that one of my old M42 lenses, a 28mm wideangle, had a stupid pointless little pin that would similarly jam in some of the non-Pentax adapters. The pin merely locked the manual/auto lever when the lens was off the camera.
