With respect, this is a forum for debate on photographic subjects and not politics, so, with apologies to any of our regular contributers who may have been incidentally edited out in the process, I have deleted the sections I felt were inappropriate.

Key Fobs?
wouldn't you leave your car keys at home? and if you were driving to the airport wouldn't you be leaving your keys with the parking services?, or are you guys so rich you can afford to leave it in the multi-storey?
As for stowing camera gear in the hold, if an airline insisted on this wouldn't they be responsible for any loss or damage?

[/quote]Fair enough - but you still left the OP comments intact, and they were extremely political
Or are snide comments about our Government and Allies par for the course in here?

Methinks that is itself a snide comment. Double standard?Or are snide comments about our Government and Allies par for the course in here?
But to revert to topic, my researches led me to E&L, who advertise here, and whose rates seem to be about half of those of some other insurers. Their policy restrictions are drafted rather vaguely, however, and leave a lot to their discretion.

I did find a company that insured >£1000 of gear for £32 a year.. I can't remember who though..
That's a pint a month for peace of mind, which I suppose is a pretty good deal. If this is massively cheaper than the norm, I'll try and find it again.
Cheers

If that's what you thought, then you weren't thinking hard enough. However, whilst this may be the time, it's not the place for this discussion. Drop me a pm if you would like to debate this further.
