For holidays I use a Lowepro Slingshot 100 which I find ideal for K20D wirh 16-45, 50-200, 50 and 40mm primes + other bits and bobs including wallet and sunglasses etc.

Do you only want to carry your camera-gear or also have some room for some lunch maybe?
It's always handy to have some extra room.
Take a look at the Lowe Fastpack, Lowe Rover, the Kata 3n1 or the Kata 123.
edit: Forgot the Crumpler Messenger Boy Stripes Backpack.

This wouldn't be my main bag; it is purely for taking on holiday, so it would be just for camera gear that I would be using it for.Do you only want to carry your camera-gear or also have some room for some lunch maybe?

I also need a main bag for taking my gear around whilst at home but I’ll look at those possibilities another day!
In the mean time I will look at you suggestions.

The extra storage bit isn't that large though so don't think you can carry a lot of extra stuff but it's just handy when going on a day trip so you can pack an apple, some candy bars and your sunglasses or something like that or maybe a rain coat for when it might rain. Just the little useful things that might be handy to have with you.

Hi Dan,
I've got the flipside 300 which is a little larger,I really like mine.
The gear you have listed would easily fit in the 200, and the 300 would have enough room left for a light lunch and lightweight waterproof. The bottle holder on the outside keeps liquids well away from your gear if there is a leak.
The thing that impresses me most about the flipside series is the ability to swivel them round to your front when the waist belt is fastened, and get at ALL your gear & do lens filter changes etc, without ever putting anything down, the open bag acts as your work-surface. Especially useful if you are using primes as lens changes tend to be more frequent.
There is also the added security benefit of the opening being non-accessable to theiving fingers, and there's a tripod holder aswel.
Downside is if you are in a very hot country you will get a sweaty back as the back-pad isn't very breatheable, but probably goes for most backpacks.

I'm going on holiday in the middle of October and I need a bag for my gear. I'm looking at taking a digital SLR with a medium zoom lens attached and 2 primes. I'm also taking filter holder and filter pouch and also some screw in filters. I was looking at a lowepro flipside 200, the size and specs of the backpack seem to indicate that it should be big enough to accommodate what I want to take, however I just wanted to ask if any you have experience with this back pack??
Thanks
Dan
