Bygones weekend, Ffestiniog Railway

Earlier this month, just before Wales locked down, the historic Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway staged a Bygones Weekend which featured steam locos in action, some of them up to 160 years old. I spent two glorious full days there by setting off from Durham at 3.15am, staying overnight in Criccieth and returning home in the evening of the second day. I had a good range of weather and lighting conditions varying from heavy rain to bright early morning sunshine.

It looks like a great way to spend time - interesting subjects, interesting weather and interersting scenery as a backdrop. You've done a great job capturing it so well.
Best regards, John

Lovely set. No 4 with the steam gets my vote.

Great fun, I am sure - and some super images to go with it.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Very nice set. But be careful David it looks like the railway has been taken over by bandits

Excellent set all round the only suggestion would be to crop out the car on the right of #2

Thanks Peter, David and Barrie. Barrie, the bandits added to the fun of the occasion. Chris that car lives at the house, right next to the level crossing . It appears on photos by many photographers and seems almost part of the scene.

Nice set, love the subject, I think it's narrow gauge?

Colours are lovely, focus smashed and tidy composition! What's not to like?!

Crisp, colorful images, and lots of smoke and steam. Great!
