Tried out the Pentax HD 55-300 WR on the K3iii on a walk around Potteric Carr nature reserve. The birds were too far away for a 300mm lens but found a couple of butterflies sunning themselves. The focussing locked on quickly, with no hunting, even though the lens is a non PLM type.

1. Comma

2. Orange Tip

Looking petty sharp here on the mobile, and the shot in the gallery on the pc. Nice pictures.

Super pictures from great kit - and that IS a first class lens that always delivers.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Lovely images, shame the comma is slightly battle-scarred.
