No 1! Never seen anything quite like it, really dramatic. I'm guessing you must have been on a bridge? I think its perfect composition-wise, shows there was real puff in all directions. Just need to try and reduce the blue colour noise.

No 4's next for me - really beautiful colours.

It was a very enjoyable day, all the more so for the great company of David, Barry and yourself Cliff. I was struggling a little with the harsh light and as you know, I don't really do stations

Anyway, here's a few of mine:

I know there are quite a few rail enthusiasts on here and from time to time I guess we all go just that little bit further to get the shot we want!.

Anyway, I`ve just been looking at some posts on the railway forum I sometimes use and came across this link

It just goes to show that we can get carried away taking pictures and become oblivious to what else is happening around us.

Be careful out there and stay safe.
Cliff.

I admit most train photos do nothing for me (heresy?) but Cliff's first one, and Barrie's last one really appeal.

Nice set Cliff - agree with Stuey - number 1 really is a cracker

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Over the ski jump

That first is a cracker. As it is almost monochrome anyway I'd be tempted to covert it to B&W.

Looks like y'all had fun.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

A steamy start to the day

This is the ex LNWR Super D loco (more than 100 years old and still going strong) which Cliff and John also photographed emerging from clouds of steam.
Here it is in black and white for Womble.
