same happened with my camera. right out of the box, tiny black speck in viewfinder
i just opened it up and medieval on the intereior with a blower
and that got rid of it
you can also do what i did, shake the camera aroudn. not violently, but give it a good shake, that helped me dislodge the black thing
but take it from me, when i was tkaing pictures with it, i was very much preocupoised on exposure, composition, DOF, and didn't even notice it there until a couple of weeks later when i realised, "hey, i didn't even notice the speck there"

Bugs get everywhere. How did it know it was a new camers? Besides, if I was going to squat somewhere, I would choose the best place I could find.

Could be a plot. I suspect Dr Fu Manchu. Admittedly he was Chinese, but that's just a detail.Does this mean Pentax is guilty of illegal import/exportation of wldlife?

At closer inspection i noticed tiny legs on the spots. This is a new camera !
any suggestions at it would seem these spots (bugs) are in the body maybee on the prism or the internal viewfinder lens ??
