Both nice shots although I think the first one is much nicer as a photo with interesting lighting and composition. The textures in the second one nicely rendered.

The second one is much nicer - that lovely 3D quality the T90 can give to low DoF shots. The first one has highlights blown (obviously strong sunlight coming through the windows) and the base is cut off.

Thanks for the comments! The blown highlights in the first one I actually liked; I have a shot where you can see what's outside the windows, but I preferred this one for the lighting on the statue, and the outside view IMO detracted from the shot. The cut-off base though I should have done something about, especially as I have another shot where the whole base is in the frame, so I will have a go at that one.

The cut off base is not a deal breaker for me, but goes to show we should pay more attention to composition while actually taking the shot - I'm guilty as much as anyone

The Tamron 90mm is a fantastic lens though I don't seem to do much macro with it! I went out for a day with just that lens and the second shot here does show off the wonderful 3d effects you can get wide open.
