as per title

I'll be at Silverstone for the BTCC on Sunday (travellling down Sat) with the missus, if anyone else is going would be nice to say hello.

I'm taking the scenic option this weekend, George - a hillclimb at Loton Park (quite close to Oulton Park, oddly) on Saturday and then either vintage or historic racing (Snetterton/Brands Hatch respectively) on Sunday. Haven't posted too many motorsport pics of late as I have been running my Pentax kit back-to-back with another system, kindly loaned by a motor racing photographic agency. It has been an interesting experiment, but I'll have to hand it back at some point so normal service will doubtless resume shortly.

Enjoy Silverstone.

There's also a promising meeting brewing at Mallory Park, should you be interested - a Formula Ford extravaganza on October 11. Admission is a tenner and there are relatively few debris fences...

The Mallory park meeting sounds good, will need to check to see if I'm free that weekend. Went to Mallory for the Triumph Live event a few years back, nice track / feel to the whole place.

Will have to go to one of these hill climb events one day, look good opportunities for photos.

Interested to see how you're getting on with the other system (obviously cannot discuss on here), been using another system for running events for the past 6 months with interesting results (pros and cons).

I've been to Loton once and didn't find it so good for photo opportunities (at least not from the wrong side of the fence ) Still worth a visit though.

I could certainly recommend Prescott in Goucestershire for hill climbs. Their annual Bugatti event is worth a visit.
Shelsley Walsh between Hereford and Worcester is another good venue.

I have done both on numerous occasions, Percy, and they are indeed wonderful. I have the unfair advantage of being on t'other side of the fence, although I often shoot from the spectator areas at both venues as I find they provide a better vantage point at certain corners.

Loton will be a voyage of discovery, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'll look forward to seeing some of your pictures from Loton. If I get time I'll try and get up there as well.
