Either get a friend to copy onto an SD card or treat your PC to a new peice of hardware - external USB DVD writeres are availlable for just over £30...

With regards to the DVD drive, might be worth checking if it's just a well known glitch - check This knowledge base article.
If it is, it's a glitch caused by 'Gear' powered software like iTunes, Roxio and Norton's Backup Centre.

My CD drive has given up and want to install the Browser software etc. currently using 3rd party downloads as well as RAW THERAPEE. Contacted Pentax who said that the software in only available on CD (which I have).
I have a k200D .. but was wondering if anyone knew if the Browser software is available as download ...
