In France, the cost of repairing is very expensive. But it is still possible.
For flash gun, you can find cheap one :
METZ Flash 24 AF-1 for Pentax
METZ Flash 36 AF-5 for Pentax
or
Pentax AF 200FG.
I think that the Metz 36 AF-5 is the best choice as far as in France, it is cheaper than the Pentax, and its head can move vertically.

I would welcome some help regarding my Pentax K10D
The flash shorted out and does not work at all now.
Is it possible to get a replacement or will I need to go over to using a flash gun?
If its the flash gun route, could someone suggest a really, really cheap one that is compatible with this camera please
