I like the angle of number 2. Nice effect. Next time I am in London, I will be going back and probably fisheye it to death
I thought about taking my 14mm, but decided to stick to the longer one due to the crowds and knew I would be wanting to chop a fair few of them out! Fisheye? Well, that's sure been done before as well, but don't let that stop you, I look forward to see your new take on it

You caught the subject on a great day, I think no 5 is a terrific composition. A couple of ppl have queried the WB but if I recall correctly I thought the glass did have a slightly green tinge.
I wasn't aware of a blue tone at the time, but actually on the PC when opening each shot in Sagelight (RAW converter plus) it was clearly there - green / blue. But I though I had got rid of it, by correcting with a bit of red / yellow as well as general de-saturation. Anyone else still seeing any blue / green cast?

Last one has the nicest colours, to me.

I like all of these Nigel, they are very well taken. The colour is the one thing that does stand out to me too, there's definitely a greenish tint to most of them. I've never been to the location so I can't say whether this is accurate or not! Number 5 doesn't have this tint and to my eyes looks to be the best colour, I also like the composition on this one. Altogether a great set of images!

Thanks dpm & David - the last one probably had the most de-saturation, so any casts have been removed more fully I guess

I'm not a 'mono person', but I've given it a go - is this the sort of thing you had in mind Jon? I often don't see the point of mono, but what do people think?

They're an interesting set of shots Nigel and I love the feeling of light in them. The monochrome version I find much less appealing, maybe because it gives more prominence to the shadows and the feeling of space is lost or maybe just because I like the colours.

I do like the 'colour casts' on your set and the more conventionally balanced last shot less from that point of view. My brain doesn't see the colour as artificial but perhaps as a tint from the glass roof and hence appropriate - I haven't been there and hence don't have an absolute reference but I imagine it would look very pretty if it was that old slightly green flint glass the roof was made of.

The mono looks good to me Nigel. Of the two alternative crops you posted, I like how the second includes the curved balustrade. I would either recrop to include it or clone out the people.

I think your restricted focal length has forced you to come up with images which are a little different than the usual shots from here.

I like the mono version of #5, and I also like the second mono image.

The glass gives a slight greeny hue, but I am sure that 'white' varies here throughout the day and in differing weather. At the time the sky was a light blue which I decided to minimize in processing, so that explains the cast that some have noticed. Its not unattractive I feel. Thanks for your positive comments.

Thats another viewpoint, thanks for that - its not something I natural move towards, but I'm glad for the suggestions and glad that I've tried it ... I will give mono a go more in future!

Thanks for checking them out Will, and for the thoughts there. Its made me think a bit about trying mono for sure. I do often find I am better to leave some lenses at home and just stick to one prime - you're forced to work more with it, and that usually leads to better shots all round I think.
