Nice textures in the foreground stones and the bridges are fascinating. The distant background looks artificially blurred making the bridges look like a model!

You are absolutely correct, I blurred the background because it was sharp but I do agree that it does not look right, I may just crop the top of the image instead..

Thought so - I guess one might be able to add a lower amount of blur with some trial and error and make it look more real?

Yes, lots better - the parapet no longer stands out as if it were a model. Lovely lead in by using those standing stones.

Here is the original. It is converted using ACR with all settings at default and just resized.I'd like to see the original unprocessed image please.

If it is the detail of the packhorse bridge that you are interested in, I have attached a 100% crop (also unprocessed).

Re the background, rather than blur it, what about darkening it down?
