Hi All,
I'm thinking of buying the Bowens Esprit Gemini Studio-in-a-Box 200 Studio.
I was wondering would the wireless flash option on my K10D work with these heads? They both have a built in slave cell.

The wireless flash works by emitting a burst of brief flashes to tell the slave how much light to put out. Then it fires once more to trigger the slave.
The studio flash will be triggered by the initial burst, which is not what you want.
You can either put an old manual flash on the camera, and use that to trigger the Bowens, or use a radio trigger. You can get cheap one for a tenner, or good ones for a lot more.

They will definitely not be compatible with the PTTL wire less communication.
But to fire off the flash you may or may not have good luck. (I would suspect more towards no luck)
Slaves fire immediately upon sensing a flash.
The camera is going to fire a pre-flash of some sort to help determine proper exposure. This pre-flash cannot be disabled.
Usually your remote flashes will fire on the camera pre-flash and they will not be able to fire on the main flash (which is what you want).
You may need to get a dumb (non-PTL) flash for the hotshoe so that no pre-flashes are fired. Otherwise you'll need a wireless remote unit (IR or radio), or sets of cables and connectors to fire those.
I went with the dumb flash option. It is relatively cheap and works for my uses.
Edit: Argh! beaten to it again. Gotta stop eating lunch while typing
