Dear friends, I have bought a Sigma 28-300 for my K-7 and finding it giving great pics. The lens creeps when held pointing downwards, but that is not a big issue. On the whole, I am happy....i think that is what counts.

One of my favourite photographers uses a Nikon 28-300mm almost exclusively on his (full frame) camera... It's the only lens you'll ever need

Lens creeps unavoidable with some lenses

Hi.

I have a Sigma 28 - 300mm, find it a little soft on focus, not as sharp as the standard Pentax kit lens.
So will be interested how you find it, I am using it on a K10.

My husband has one now, having destroyed his Tammy version.

It has a lock on it to stop lens creep

Hi friends, thanks to you all for your responses. I find the pictures to be quite sharp. I have ordered lens creep band and hope it will help. My version does not have macro or a lock. It is a 72mm version. And happy to note that Jay Maisel uses 28-300.
