Not so boring after all...there are few if any places where a good image cannot be made.

Excuse my stupidity but how on earth did you take an image in infrared?

As far as I know, there are different kinds of IR filters. Which do you have...and why you chose this one?

The pics look great !

You are describing pseudo-IR produced after capture.

Is Aiki thinking of the various filters you would attach in front of the lens? The usual one is the R72 which is virtually opaque. So you need to compose before fitting the filter to make the exposure.

The alternative Photoshop method is to use Channel Mixer to create the IR effect.

You are right, JR.

I am still not so at home with PP. My thoughts even didnt go there.
At first I just didnt realize what CS4 is My eye saw only the word "filter".
But I understood my mistake after seeing the answer by Cgaig.

sry

I have seen some wonderful pics with a filter before the lense. That has made me to "dream" of it. But I havnt taken it seriously into my plans yet.
Everything comes, when its right time

But I am defenetly too lazy for doing such things with PP.
Although it may give a good result.

Aiki its only 10 or so seconds work in PP.

In CS4 its Image Adjustments >>>Black and White>>> then use Infrared from the pull down menu.

Im sure Infrared will also be available as a plugin for whatever software you use.
If you let me know i will dig it up for you.

Its 10 sec, if you have got the expaerience and you know what are you doing.

Never mind. Everything is Ok. It's just again one moment when I misunderstood. Wasnt too much careful reading
You know, people tend to read (think) what they WANT to see (think)

BTW it would be quite interesting to see the original as well. Just for seeing the efect of PP.

I see Sky is main clue here.

I hope, that when I see sth similar...than the bell in my head will ring: IR.

Had a glimpse on the site. IŽll try someday.
Today I am not so much awake any more

Thanks.

Wow - I've just been experimenting with this function in Photoshop; and i'm impressed with the results.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention guys!
