For the prices, on some lenses the price is a lower, and on some "kits" too (the k20d+16-50 is 100£ cheaper, without compting the rebate) ... and with the actual rebates (that we don't have in France ) and with the very competive prices at SRS .... it's quite tempting !

No need for that, I'm living in England up to the end of January
the only problem is : wich lens to choose between the 16-45 and the 16-50 with a k20d ?
Is the 16-50 worth the extra cash ... It has many advantages (f2.8, SDM and Seals) but it's a lot of money (I would have taken the 17-70 if it was a bit cheaper)
BTW, talking about the 16-50, have you heard about the problems of this lens ?
In many french forum I've read that some 16-50 are not "good copies"
This makes me hesitate more ...

My advice would be jump in now and get a DA* 16-50 from Chris @ SRS.
If you then had any problems (highly unlikely in my view) then Chris would be the man to sort them out.

I've just decided to join your wonderful site, after many hours of reading...
also, as you have might noticed in my title, I'm french
I'm a student currently living in England for an internship, and I've already planned to take advantage of the lower prices here !
I'm currently shooting with my K100d and some lenses : 18-55, 50-200, sigma 10-20, 43mm f1.9 ltd, S-Takumar 50mm f1.4, SMC-Takumar 85mm f1.8, SMC-Takumar 35mm f3.5, Zenitar 16mm fish-eye (not much using these last two )
But I've planned to change this body to a shiny K20d !
I enjoy to takes pictures of cars, but also landscapes...
