Lovely - and nice composition with the wee path and square crop
I used to live in Herts, and the bluebell woods are one of its glories, so happy to see this. Though you'll probably now tell me this was taken in a Yorkshire or somewhere else

Nope, definitely Herts. It is my landlady's bit of woodland about five minutes walk, if that, from my front door.Lovely - and nice composition with the wee path and square crop

Thanks for the kind comments all. It is feeling a little odd shooting digital again after a break while the K20D was getting some TLC from Johnsons... Mind you, I've just bought 20 rolls of film ready for the summer!

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Excellent, at least a week ahead of the season here in Derbyshire where what is on show is already good for closeups but no spectacular drifts like that yet.
I personally find capturing the above type of scene for bluebells extremely difficult. Well done.

A pleasing shot with those shafts of light crossing the bluebells. I haven't seen any bluebells in bloom yet in Ashridge, so you are in a more favoured part of Herts ... or perhaps I've just taken routes that suit the dog better than my camera.
