Billingham bag-canvas or FibreNyte?

I am considering buying a Hadlet Pro bag. It is available in either canvas or FibreNyte for the same price. The FibeNyte is claimed to be more waterproof. Anyone have an opinion as to which one I should go for?

I've never owned a Hadley, or anything in Fibrenyte for that matter, but I do have a 335 in canvas and have to say it's never given me any trouble in the rain. Thay said, I do tend to seek shelter if it's raining! Cosmetically I do think the canvas is more attractive, especially when it's been used somewhat, and has faded.

I have the Fibrenyte version and my wife has one in canvas.

I have to say the Fibrenyte one does seem to be more weatherproof than the canvas version.

I've been using a canvas Billingham for about twenty years and it still looks as good as new. I've never had any worries about it getting wet.

Broad as it's long I think. Both will be just fine. We use canvas ones, but only because that's what was there at the time!

Fibrenyte is more waterproof and slightly lighter but the Canvas is good enough and just works in a different way, you would have no worries with either. the Fibrenyte ones tend to pill up when you first get them on the back of the bag where it rubs on your clothing (Depends on your clothing though)that said it actually seems to eventually even itself out, the Fibrenyte ones don't lose their colour where they rub as the Canvas ones do. Had about five of each over the years and other than that they all do an excellent job...
