Bigma and 1.4T/C
Anyone got any suggestions for stabilising a monopod?
Dan
Add another 2 legs?

Pentax 135 F3.5, Pentax 30mm F2.8 , Pentax 50mm F1.7, Pentax 55mm F1.8,
Super Taks: 35mm F3.5, 50mm F1.4, 135mm F3.5, 200mm F4
Vivitar TX 200mm F3.5,Vivitar (Komine)135mm f2.8, Vivitar 2X TC, Vivitar T4 400mm F6.3
Tamron SP 35-80,80-210 F3.8, Helios 44M, Mir 1B 37mm F2.8, Jupiter 9 85mm F2, Chinon 28mm F2.8, 3M-5A 500mm F8 etc etc
They are not as good as a tripod for long exposures - I use mine for distant subjects as it makes composing the shot a bit easier than attempting to hold a heavy zoom steady.
Shooting the Welsh Wilderness with K-m, KX, MX, ME Super and assorted lenses.
but it does help
I'm sure you've realised this already, but make sure the SR is off as it will be working on the wrong focal length with the TC in place.
No I hadn't given it a thought, I assumed the T/C would automatically relay the increased focal length, just had a look at the exif on some of the pics I took and It would appear that is not the case
Turning SR off is going to be a bit of a pain, if I need it at 500mm I definately need it longer
Anyone know of a workaround?
Only the most obvious suggestion - turn up the ISO to reduce the shutter speed!

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

It arrived about 11am this morning and I was at the local RSPB reserve by 1.30pm, unfortunatly it was quite breezy but I managed to find a sheltered spot by one of the ponds, and yes I used the Bigma with the T/C to shoot macro
Anyone got any suggestions for stabilising a monopod? I'm normally OK at 500mm but pushing it to 700mm with the T/C is causing me some problems.
