There is a limit of course, and we'll see how well the new FF fares with existing lenses, but so far lenses have proved capable enough as the resolution has increased.
It's not without precedent, because using a fast film, say ISO 400, does not show such crisp detail as using an ISO 50 one. So there has always been headroom. The limitation has often been the film rather than the lens.
The 18-135mm is one of the options in K-3 kits, so Pentax are happy enough to offer it.

Hi Stan,
I went from the original K5 to the K3. I currently have the 12 - 24 DA, the 18 - 135DA WR and the 300 F4 star with tele adapter. All perform extremely well with the ability to crop heavily and sharpen for clarity exceptional. I have a mixture in my gallery on here using all three on the K3. The Chatsworth shot down the lake is with the 18 135.
