Hi everyone!
I was wondering whether there were any places in london where you can try pentax or pentax mount lenses bacause I'm looking to try out lenses such as the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 and Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. The only high street store seems to be Jessops, which doesn't have such a great selection, no pentax mount lenses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

SRS Microsystems is the best I think. Although if you are in central London, then check out Microglobe in Bury Place just near the British Museum. They have a decent selection of Pentax fit lenses and I have never had a problem in there.

Cheers

I have tried out lense in Spectrum before, particularly Sigma lenses - they are at the Euston road end of TCR near Warren Street tube. However, I seem to recall that there have been some negative comments on this site regarding this retailer.

My personal experiance is only trying out lenses and not actually buying from there.

Spectrum do have a good range of Pentax and Sigma lenses in stock, just don't expect friendly service or great prices and you won't be disapointed.

If you are looking to buy from Spectrum then do some research beforehand on prices. Their approach when I have been in there is to refuse to give you a price and ask you what you want to pay. They then ask for proof of any other prices you suggest. They wanted a written quote before they would match a price I suggested! Not sure why they think I would go to the trouble of getting a written quote and then coming back so that Spectrum could make the sale...

[note it has been a couple of years since I last went so they may be much nicer now]
You will only prise my 43Ltd from my cold, dead hands...

Just steer clear of Spectrum, unless you like pressure sales and rude condescending replies to questions (and inaccurate advice!)
