I like the first one focus is exactly where it should be.

Danny, not bad at all ,
Obviously you nailed precisely the first one, and the second one unfortunately you were stuck with the leaf blocking partially the bee too.
Did you use tripod? And was it onboard flash?
I used tripod and the sigma flash although attached to the camera. Might make a difference if you try it this way.
But I really like the first one, perfect focus and the wings flapping just looks great

Bucks.
Told the Wife I was going out the back of the shop to try and get a bee or wasp in flight, and could she watch the shop for a little while. I got really lucky though because 30 secs later I came back in the shop and said 'got it!' She didn't believe it, and nor could I when I showed her this!
Trouble is, I then spent a lot of the afternoon trying to better it!
This was the next best one, shame about the focus though.
