Well I took 3 shots of the flooding in Bridgnorth this lunchtime, as well as 4 stealthy "street" shots (strangely addictive). That should be worth a couple of grand easy.

The flooding might be useful to media outlets, problem is they're already stuffed with people willing to hand over their wobbly iphone shots in return for getting their name on the telly.
"Send us your flooding pictures" must be the best economy measure they've ever come up with - no need to pay photographers or even have an in-house photo editing unit, just pick the few usable ones from the thousands which will stream in!

I love the touch shooting feature in live view. Simply compose the shot, touch on the screen where you want focus and the camera automatically AFs and takes the shot in one go
That would be very useful even on a DSLR.

Camcorders have had touch screen focus, zoom etc. for years.
Very poor taste by the BBC to put together such a misleading article no doubt they will receive hundreds of complaints from the pros for trivializing their creative skills in the way that they have done.
How about a reduction of £20 in the licence fee now that we've seen what it's being wasted on and how easy it is to make TV clips.

In practice, you press the screen it moves the camera. Result? Blurry photo with ruined framing.
And yes, I have had a go with one!

Yeah I saw how easy it was to move the camera in that BBC clip, but then it's easy to move a compact camera with the regular button too.Smeggypants wrote:

That's the problem I have with all compacts and camera phones. They simply aren't heavy enough to hold very stably, and the size/shape doesn't help either.
