Battery choice for k200d ?

after the lithium batteries ran out i bought some energizer 2450 mah rechargeables with a fast charger. the problem is they dont seem to last long ,in use after a while the battery indicator shows empty , if i switch off and wait a few minutes it recovers and shows a quarter full. the ones in my canon sureshot used to last for ages . dont want to have to keep buying the expensive lithium ones .any ideas ?

had a chance to try the camera and grip out yesterday ,set it to use grip first , took quite a few shots inc flash and the vapatex batts are still showing full , thanks to everyones input we seem to have had a good result, tim.

Oggy, am still on the vapatex installed after first charge . still showing full in the grip (camera set to use grip first) even after a long shoot at a car show last sunday ,very pleased .
