This is really a nice charger, you can charge two batteries at once and charging takes about 2 hours or so (The one that came with the camera had 20% charge left out of the box, the second one I bought was at 40%).
It has a display which shows the charge level and you can use the charger as a test unit, just plug the battery in without the power cord connected and you see how much charge is left.
