Previously announced. On sale from March Pentax say

Looks just like the £199 at SRS WG1 BUT instead of a CCD it now has a backlit CMOS sensor, much better

I'm very tempted for the macro with LED's alone when the price comes down tot hat of the old model.

Hey at least the promo photo isn't promoting it as "Poop resistant"!
looks like a cool cam.. not gonna replace any I already own though.. Pentax needs to seriously look at Go-Pro's offerings and come up with something to compete...
also go-pro has turned a "Win one of everything we make" evryday online contest into an online and social networking advertizing Juggernaught.... something Pentax should look at how they did it and see if they can come up a marketing ploy that works.

Yeah I think the Go-Pro stuff looks way ahead but I suppose they've got to give it a try.

This thing reminds me of a old SEGA games console though, wouldn't surprise me if it goes the same way...
