batch compress TIF files

Is there a tool which can compress a batch of tif files in one go?
Irfanview can, but the resulting tif's are bigger then what C1 gives me.

Try the Image Processor script in CS2, if you have it. It converts to JPEG, TIFF, or PSD or any combination, and can compress or not according to your wishes (I think).

The image processor does exactly what I want... well allmost... but after some tinkering with the script (it's a form of java) it does what I want.
Open the tiff file, then give it a run with the sharpen-o-matic (thanks matt) and then save it as a tiff with zip compression.
The standard image processor uses the LZW compression, but the zip compression works better and is free from patent issues.

Another modification I did was editing the output location. Normally it makes a new folder named TIFF, but then I had to cut and paste everything again to get it in the right location.

Nice to see that you can easilly edit these scripts, adobe even ships it's own editor for the job.
